Volunteer Opportunities

Long-term Opportunities:

·       Bloor-Lansdowne Community Dinner

Every Wednesday 4:30-8:30pm at Lansdowne station/ Need 6 – 8 volunteers to serve food

·       50/50

June 16^th – Phillies game/ June 30^th – Los Angeles Angels/ need 13 volunteers to sell draw tickets from 10:30-2pm

·       Harbourfront Centre

Attend 1 orientation to volunteer for various events/ Orientation dates – June 14, June 28, July 18, August 9/ Events in June – Franco-Fete, TD Jazz Festival, Dancing on the Pier, Canada Day, Free Flicks etc.

·       YMCA

Assist with Relay for Strong Kids / July 5^th 2012, need 25 volunteers/ Water stations, registration, entertainment area, logistics etc.  6-11pm/ Honda Indy Track (Exhibition Place)/ orientation will be June 15^th at school

Short-term Opportunities:

·       Muhtadi Festival

June 9^th & 10^th/ Assist with set up & festival duties

·       Assist with postering the city June 2^nd Sat 3-6pm

Ø  Pride Toronto

Pride Festival June 22^nd – July 1^st / sign up with Suzan

·       Health and Wellness Expo

July 14^th 2012, 8am-7pm (min. 2hours)/ Masaryk-Cowan Community Recreation Centre/ Osgood station – 5 minutes’ walk/ various event assistance roles/ Orientation is June 29^th 2012 at school

·       Luminato

June 8-24th 2012 / general event assistance related with art installation, 5-11pm/ Bathurst & Queens Quay
