We've passed the mid-way point: Week 5 is here!

Ongoing Supports:
  • Tutoring is available in the ESL Library, D313 every Tues and Thurs at 12pm  for English practice. 
  • Visit the Tutoring Learning Centre, C503, for English language support. 
  • Visit our Peer Leaders in D304A for support- or visit our workshops and study groups listed below
Kurt's Volunteer Activities of the week:

1.  United Way is looking for Volunteers for a conference at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre on Thursday, December 8th and Friday, Dec 9th.   (4 hour shifts)

2. STOP Community Food Centre is looking for volunteers for a commitment of 1 shift per week (approx. 4 hours/week).  This is an ongoing, long-term commitment for 4-6 months.   thestop.org

3.  Student Association Holiday Food Drive is looking for volunteers from Nov 14th to Dec 2nd. Go directly to building E, Student Lifeworks Centre to lend a hand.

ALSO: Interested in Meeting the Author of Bite of the Mango?  Take advantage of this amazing opportunity to meet the author of this inspiring story.

Bite of the Mango author, Mariatu Kamara, is coming to George Brown College  on Wednesday, November 30th,  3:30 pm in the St. James Career Centre.  
This will be after our Caravan activities, so it provides you with enough time to get to the downtown campus.  Please sign up with your teacher if you are intending to go.
We'll have a final short book club meeting next Monday, November 28th at 3:15 in D306.  This will be a brief meeting due to Caravan preparations.
